I have throughout my life used a lot of tools in hardware, software and booksThe purpose of this page and subpages is
- tell you about the good experience I have
- warn you a little about the things I don't like, that is not the point of this page but some criticism can be expected
It is unlikely that you can convince me that for example Linux firewalls are cool and easy to configure with iptables! IPtables are such a pain due to the absolutely stupid way it is being configured and it should be changed immediately.
Since it is unlikely that I would ever document all the programs I use I have decided to post these lists of software that I use on Mac OS X and OpenBSD.
- Darwinports listing from a Mac OS X workstation darwinports-harry.txt
- OpenBSD ports from a server openbsdports-fluffy.txt
- OpenBSD ports from a server openbsdports-betty.txt
